Jean-Francois Pignon has a quiet way about gaining the attention of a nervous and distracted horse during his Stockholm clinic in 2009

I enjoyed watching these older clips again from one of his clinics in Stockholm. If you find happiness watching quiet, patient work with a horse I think you'll find some inspiration in this.

As for his reputation as a trainer, overall there's been mixed reviews online, largely complaints that he relies too heavily on his lunge whips to guide the horses during performances (he does a lot of liberty/circus/Cavalia type shows).

No matter, this is a lovely show of what's possible to take a nervous, inattentive horse and bring them around without smacking them in the face with the lead rope.

What do you think of the clinic? Do you feel it's something you could take to the arena and try applying with your horse?
